When the time is right & owners let me, I will post dyno sheets.

These headers make the power. End of story.

I feel you.

The budget headers kick ass for what they are. I was shocked when I was the 1st one in person, very nice piece.

but i have to ask you this, do you have any dyno sheets/proof that your 4:1's make the sort of gains that you claim ?

reason i ask is when i read your first post in this thread happynoles ve cam to mind that has your 4:1 headers, n1 cams, your n1 ported intake mani etc and it made 212 ?

im not trying to come off as a hater i just would like your opinion on why happynoles motor made some what sub par whp for the parts it had.

stratton.

My motor is not finished tuning at 211. The cam gears are still at 0,0 and we feel there is a good bit of room still to go. I am waiting for my Calum realtime, and when it gets here I will get back on the dyno to play with cam gears settings, and precise fuel and ignition setups. You can only do so much with an SAFC. WIth cam tuning and better fuel mapping I am looking for 225-230.

Also remember I have a fully stock bottom end. I got this header in anticpation of the possible end result. A fully built bottom end isn't in this years budget, but I only wanted to buy one header. I was looking at the big picture long term. And you'd have to drive and hear this motor running to fully appreciate how it performs. There are some hardcore turbo guys that hang around the shop seriously considering building n/a motors after hearing this setup and driving the car. A VE setup properly sings a beautiful song.

Agreed. Both the IM and big header will really matter when I get the chance to build the bottom half. For now, it is quite fun.

So Is there any interest in making these in quantity? I know a lot of people talk about building a larger 2.2 -2.3L motor and the header will make or break that build thus me bringing this thread up.

Offtopic when you dyno can you tell operator to get sae corrected? When I did that my dyno the #'s droped 10whp give or take but its better number to compare with others .Bump for a sick header!

Interesting. I downloaed the WinPEP program a while back to be able to display and compare graphs of my runs. I get copies of all of the .drf files on a flash drive after every session. When I just pulled up that run and changed the correction factor the peak hp dropped from 211.19 to 206.28 and the peak tq dropped from 150.75 to 147.24. The curve seems to look identical. Moving forward I'll gladly report SAE numbers if that is the what everyone else shows. To me, it's not about getting the biggest number, it's making the curve as fat as possible.

It isn’t actually your car is making sick power. I know your reporting and I appreciate that even if the numbers are not what you hope. Not everyone reports sae but if you have them posts them also! A lot of people post std on here I don’t know why.Anyways you can post them in your threat and let’s get back on topic sorry snickers.

im thinking of going 90mm bore on my new VE build, so i guess the megaphone header is better than the budget header, i just dont know if i can justify spending that much on a header. will the budget header still work with the 2.2 build? just obviously not as good as the megaphone one?
