reason i ask is when i read your first post in this thread happynoles ve cam to mind that has your 4:1 headers, n1 cams, your n1 ported intake mani etc and it made 212 ?
im not trying to come off as a hater i just would like your opinion on why happynoles motor made some what sub par whp for the parts it had.
stratton.
My motor is not finished tuning at 211. The cam gears are still at 0,0 and we feel there is a good bit of room still to go. I am waiting for my Calum realtime, and when it gets here I will get back on the dyno to play with cam gears settings, and precise fuel and ignition setups. You can only do so much with an SAFC. WIth cam tuning and better fuel mapping I am looking for 225-230.
Also remember I have a fully stock bottom end. I got this header in anticpation of the possible end result. A fully built bottom end isn't in this years budget, but I only wanted to buy one header. I was looking at the big picture long term. And you'd have to drive and hear this motor running to fully appreciate how it performs. There are some hardcore turbo guys that hang around the shop seriously considering building n/a motors after hearing this setup and driving the car. A VE setup properly sings a beautiful song.
