Nitrous on ve?
I have a nitrous kit hanging around and am considering using it on my VE. I only plan to spray a wet 50 shot, so my question is will the motor take it? And if so what would be the highest shot a stock internal VE motor could handle?

Yes.

That depends on rpm and progressive versus all-or-nothing control.

Yes, I know of local guy who ran 90hp shot and he went up to 125hp for a while, didn't have any issues, Stock sr20ve.. Good luck

I run any where from a 50 to a 100 shot on my bolt on DE. Been doing so for the past year with no problems, just be careful because you can get a little nitrous happy at some time.

Ive also been considering nitrous. I was thinking wet 75 shot. Though then I think nitrous being like a hooker, I'd wanna hit it, but am afraid of the consequences

I also have a nitrous kit here and was thinking about spraying my VE,but what about retarding the timing?
I am running a calum basic now,so what the best way to go about it?

I plan on running a 50 shot on my VE in the future. I'd create two programs. 1 N/A and 1 nitrous. The nitrous program will need some timing taken out, and obviously more fuel also.

I don't think you should have to change anything if you are only planning on using a wet 50 shot.

I was in the same boat as most of you, a NOS kit laying around and everytime I look at it I could hear it saying use me but dont abuse me. So I finally gave it a try, I started at 50 wet shot and not a whole lot of difference, went up to 75 and It felt great when the N1cams kick the sound is wicked. I have only sprayed 1 full bottle but I settle down and will not use it cause I burn out my ACT HDPP/SS disk clutch. If you are going to spray 100's make sure you got a good fuel pump, colder plugs and good clutch setup.
