My business partner's 00 EK hatch we built up last year and was making just shy of 350whp, 240tq on 108 octane, and 335/225 on 92 octane. This was in a street car as in it has interior, a cage, and all. Still got a few things to tweak at the track to get it to hook good. His last few runs in the car are 12.0 @ 124+ MPH with a 2.65 60ft and that was back almost a year ago with only 310whp 195tq.
The K is great, but I've learned a lot from building these motors and doing extensive head work on them K20 heads. There is a lot of potential to be had in a VE head and i'm getting a lot of flow out of them with the right work. and a lot of flow, i mean on par with a K head.
