Thread: ASP Budget header GB Round 2

My business partner's 00 EK hatch we built up last year and was making just shy of 350whp, 240tq on 108 octane, and 335/225 on 92 octane. This was in a street car as in it has interior, a cage, and all. Still got a few things to tweak at the track to get it to hook good. His last few runs in the car are 12.0 @ 124+ MPH with a 2.65 60ft and that was back almost a year ago with only 310whp 195tq.

The K is great, but I've learned a lot from building these motors and doing extensive head work on them K20 heads. There is a lot of potential to be had in a VE head and i'm getting a lot of flow out of them with the right work. and a lot of flow, i mean on par with a K head.

When i hit the powerball im gonna send u my motor so u can squeeeze out every last hp a ve can make.. And for them honda boys dont be scared like someone else said a few post b4 ...most of them boys aren't running k's they're running b-series or D-motors even H-swapped hondas are not seen too often. Average K-swap is around 8-10g's. And to make them run 10's ..u gotta gut the shyt outta them and buy like half the car made outta carbon fiber. F**K that. Not only that u gotta keep an eagle eye on the shyt if dont wanna c it gone in the blink of an eye.

Now back to our main topic...The BUDGET HEADER....!!

No offense to you too. I know you know your stuff but as off right now they're not that much faster then a ve to me. We can hit 12's with basic bolt-ons and thats not with the parts that they have in there cars and with the weight reduction they do too. If you follow up on the honda scene then take a look at aki's car. Thats a built k20/k24 in car eg hatch that weighs practically nothing with huge slicks and its a high 10sec car. So i think with the help of snickers getting us some nice parts going we have a chance with a K until i see k24's doing some low 10secs then i don't think well be there but hey you never really know so Charles thanks for helping and keep that great RnD going its helping the VE's a lot.


P.S. K's are the **** but you can't just say that VE's aren't as good until the aftermarket for the VE is better.
