OK, first off I'm starting to believe that my original dyno runs were done on what I'm calling an "optimistic" DynoJet, since I haven't been able to duplicate the results anywhere else. That shop has since closed and the Dyno was sold to someone in another state. SO I have tried 2 other shops that have DynoJets in the area. The original runs from now closed Red Star Performance:
Last week I tried Import Experts in Winder, the best run was 204.2 hp and 138.0 tq STD. I tried to get them to send me the .drf files so I could convert to SAE and post a comparison, but no such luck. So I still have no graphs to post, and I was bummed with the results to say the least.
Today I did a baseline set at Balanced Performance in Sugar Hill. Balanced Performance is one of the Dynos of choice for Grassroots Motorsports and has a solid reputation as a respectable business. Jason is going to email me the files tomorrow, so I only have the STD numbers on the graph he printed for me this afternoon. Max hp was 208.9 at 8300 and max tq was 139.3 at 7000. So the original Red Star STD numbers of 211.2 at 7800 and 150.8 at 7000 just don't seem to be repeatable or even realistic. On a positive note, the car is holding 200 hp from 7600 to 8800 and 190 from 7200 to 9200. It's a blast to drive as well. I'll post up the new graphs once I get the files.
Any other thoughts here guys?
