3" with resonator will be fine.

If mine is going to be too loud- which I suspect it wil - i'll drop in a resonator if i have to.

Guess no matter what you do though, the car gonna be relatively loud with vvl kicks in.

Peace

im gunna use a oem style magnaflow muffler.. 5x8 oval 14inch body.. im hoping it will help keep it sorta quiet.. i dont really like the looks or sound of the ricer lookin mufflers.. plus it draws alot of unwanted attention.. my friend got a ticket a while back in his se-r, funny thing is he has stock exhaust just didnt have a muffler.. honestly it wasnt very loud at all.. he's got a muffler now, can barely tell the diff lol.. i didnt have a muffler on my datsun for a while an that thing was wicked loud, he still had his resonator an cat tho so thats prolly why it wasnt so loud..

The car came with that mod from Japan (when it came with sr16ve). They use metric system. Guess they would have used a 70mm (2.755") if they we doing exhaust mod to a 2.0 litre.

I am going 3" by the end of this month - 3" downpipe, 3" piping str8 thru, 3' oval muffler, no resonator, no cat. Just waiting on a modded ssac header.

You should go 3" you wont regret.

peace

how is it youre planning to MOD the ssac header sir?

Dont count on that muffler being too quiet. That is the same muffler I have. Bought over a month ago but decided to wait on the header since I dont want to go to the muffler guy 2x.

Same brand, same dimensions.

If I install b4 u, i'll make a vid for sound.

Peace

@ Vex, Blood:

No not port-match, SR20venofreak on this site has made a downpipe and secondaries for the SSAC and even though the ASP header is the real deal, I've decided to try this. Cant afford a ASP header now.

Longer and bigger diameter secondaries, proper collector and 3" downpipe.

Seen here:

Have you checked the compression? VEs with I/H/E make 180ish.
Something is bad wrong. What MAf/ ECU are you running?
