During my last dyno time, we changed the switch points 8 runs in a row until we maximized the curve. You are leaving meat on the table without tuning.

i endorse this comment... there are so many things to pay attenion to when setting up your VE... remember it isnt the OEM equipment so you are solely in charge of getting it right...

while setting up my VE i was in such a rush to get the thing running I overlooked a bunch of things... got it running and swore it was faster than flash... dynoed 150whp... w/16ve cams

problems included poor WAI setup (too long according to miko), ssac not ported, knock sensor not installed (ecu pulling timing in the mid) and the issues went on and on...

best thus far is 170whp and i still havent dyno tuned.... jus single runs... i hope to say 180+ when i do dyno tune cuz its running remarkable now! DEer?

Blood did you have your knock sensor disabled when the ecu was pulling timing?

no it wasnt disabled... i had only done 1 dyno pull, so when i realised the ecu was pulling timing i checked and noticed the sensor was unplugged.

Yes DE'er! That DE was not tuned that spanked those VE's. A fully bolted DE with good cams and a ssac 2.5, or budget header would give a VE all it want if the VE's tune is not on point with supporting mods. Then if you have a 10.1 DE it will pull a bit harder.

if you have a VE an cant beat a DE then you should start taking it to people that know what there doin... the truth hurts but never fails to amaze some.
