I would be damn sure to check that knock sensor out. I turned mine off at the dyno and it lost a lot of power and each run was inconsistant and the top end ran like it was miss firing, probably because it was. The ecu will not always show a knock sensor code or other codes if something is wrong. I think these ecu's are kind of sketchy it wont show codes untill it knows something is way off. Make sure your Knock sensor flag is on with a check mark if your using tunerpro. Check those cams and you may have to degree them yourself instead of trusting the cam gears ect.

good idea, i will be checking that definetly, the single wire going to the knock sensor looked to be kinda frayed and barely hanging on so we might redo that wire just to be sure. Well im gonna be putting these cam or a set of stockers in set to 0,0 being thats where the stockers best perform anyways. So ill keep it updated on how it goes.

That's interesting, Calum always suggests to disable the knock sensor.

x2 calum recommends the knock being set off because of the false noise that it will pick up.

I appreciate you posting numbers even if they aren't optimal.

Any progress shared with the community is good progress

That may be true on some cars but not mine. Here's proof the bottom chart is the one that shows this. The green and blue lines are back to back pulls w/sensor turned off with no changes between them. The other color runs are with the sensor turned on. With the sensor turned off it ran very badly and very inconsistantly.

i just checked the program, the tune was using the knock sensor on. So makes me wonder, cuz i look at the knock timing map and holy crap if it recieves knock i hope thats not the degrees it retards the timing. cuz negative 94 deg timing thats crazy, that would explain why if there was a fault with the wire or knock sensor why it would retard timing like crazy. What function on the Calum realtime is the knock flag. Would that be the one that he puts in the description do not touch. haha.

what kind of ECU recommends disabling a knock sensor, glad I dont have to do that.
Really hot day or bad batch of fuel, I want it there.

Do you have his updated XDF? My XDF has the knock flag named, it's super duper easy to turn it off.
