Hey Dave,
When you say custom firmware, you mean that you installed a board and loaded a bin file with rescaled fuel/ignition maps and a limiter above 8012.5?

Firmware is software (a computer program) that is burned into hardware (ROM, EEPROM). I reverse engineered the stock bin into source code, and modified (customized) the program that runs in the ECU.

This fix requires changes to the code, or program, part of the bin. You can't fix it simply by changing map scales or rev limits.

Dave

Ok.
Did you have the chance to reverse engineer any JDM or EUDM bin to see if the same limitation occurs?

Yes, the limitation is in all KA24DE, SR20DE and SR20DET bins I've seen, including 50F00, which is a JDM SR20DET ECU. If you have, or can identify a EUDM bin, let me know and I'll check it out.

Dave, thanks for all your work!! Many of us (Calum users for sure) are very happy that you're working on this.

Calum did mention this some time ago, so I'm kind of surprised that so many people are surprised.

Thanks again Dave!

No worries! I'm hoping to be able to release this enhancement soon!

Cheers,
Dave
