hey,
dont know if this will help but here goes... back in the earlier days of tuning the calum it was evident there was more than one rev limiter code within the ecu... i noticed when taking stock roms of ecu's some ecu's had rev limits in one place whilst some had in other places. rom editor with the right adr files have more than one rev limit, but TPRT i notice only has ONE... maybe the bin your using needs the other limiter to be modified.

This is a great point and had me confused for a while.

I kept changing the rev limit in TunerPro but nothing was happening. I could very well have an old XDF file, but the one I'm using was referencing 005C as the rev limiter. I loaded my BIN onto Nistune and the address they're specifying for rev limit does indeed change the limiter. I now have mine set at 9k and am controlling the rev limit through a Crane ignition.

Ok for the new posts that are NOT reading the thread... It is NOT the rev limiter in the bin. Both JWT and Calum can't have limiters over 8012.5 due to stock firmware limitation... He has said he is revving past that....

SO ONCE AGAIN... IT IS NOT THE REV LIMITER IN THE BIN... Say it with me guys... It is not the rev limiter in the bin.

Cue Andreas with his awesome animation again I think. English anybody?

Please show me where in this post he states he is reving past 8012.5? I couldn't find it. I made my statement because if he is saying the Calum ECU has no rev limit based upon what he is seeing in TP, that could be his issue.

This firmware thing stands for all ecus or only for USDM?
Also what is the procedure to alter the firmware?

このファームウェア事はすべてのecusまたはUSDMをだけ意味するか。またファームウェアを変えるプロシージャは何であるか。

Don't know if you guys have seen this but...

I fixed the stock ECU 8012.5 RPM limitation a while back. To utilize it for tuning beyond 8012.5 RPM requires re-scaling your fuel and ignition map RPM scales and modifying those two maps accordingly. Rev limits also work above 8012.5 RPM.

More details to come very soon!

Cheers,
Dave
