Basically the same reason crush bent pipe isn't good either. Less effective cross section and turbulent flow.

ooh this plastic stuff reminds me of the times spent using drain plasitc drain pipe to get a prototype intake made, before getting it made in SS....

yes i am fine because it wont give me a really high dyno number, that way people wont hate me

There is actually a plastic epoxy that you can buy from autozone which hardens like a rock for $5. It black in color as well so it would match fine. As for the intake, is this something like the Iceman intake from back in the days?
