The Moroso can is just a breather really. I had to modify it so it could be also use as oil separator. I stuffed it with fine stainless steel meshes to catch the oil and routed the lines so the oil could go back to the crank case.

All the hoses going from the valve cover to the intake are capped or plugged up. The oil vapors lowers the octane for the fuel and would make the engine more likely to knock. We all know the VE likes timing so by capping off the blow by recirculation system, the engine can take more timing.

are there any downsides to just capping them off?

how much extra timing are you talking (roughly)?

is it really that much vapor to degrade the fuel?

interesting

^Interesting..........With a ASP header, that thing would really breath. Not bad at all for a $100 header though.

I'm not trying to be a basher here, but 215whp on Church's dyno isnt anything crazy. I have 2 friends that have had their cars on his dyno and then on a dynojet in the same day, Everyone knows that his dynapack reads typical dynapack numbers and his reads high about 10%. a 270whp car on church's dyno reads an actual 247-249whp on a dynojet SAE corrected. that means this 215whp run is about 195whp....

I get this a lot from the honda guys all the time when I have their cars to retune and they complain that after changing some bits, they dyno up here and say they've lost 5-6hp... from church's dyno to the one I use.

Thats about average, maybe 4whp more than everyone else that uses the ebay header....

5speed the cams need to be swithced at about 6200 RPMs to get rid of that dip.

You will make more power from 5600-6200 RPMs one you do so.
