My power was peak of 179Hp at the rollers but held peak power from around 6500 thru to 9000 without any drop off, great power band but not a normal type. Anyway we will continue with changes and testing as I need around 200Hp at the tyres for the class of racing i'm in.

By the way a side note on the 184-C they aren't a drop in as the lift is too high for standard springs (12.5mm) so if a straight drop inno shims are what someone is after mybe stick with the N1 cams.

Hi Geoff,
Watched a couple of your IPRA races last night. Gotta say I am impressed with steering, braking, handling etc. they are the equal of those pesky Honda's, well done! A few more ponies and you will be at the front of the pack. Have you seen this thread over on Performance Forums ?

Vet 180's SR20VE N/A head - PerformanceForums

This guy TK did a VE head for a customer with lots of pics, port flows etc. I have read a few of his posts and seems like he gets very good results with his porting and has a bit of a cult following. He did a one off job on an old L series Datto head and got better results that Mark Banyard who does them for a living.

TK also did some modelling of the head flow and HP potential with the same Kelford cam as this Thread references (184-C). The results are just what you want to solve the HP problem.

I am sure that Clint and others will also be interested in TK's trhead.
Hope this helps, good luck with the racing this season - will be keen to see how you go.

Regards

Max

Yeah the original car/set up for that head has been put on the back burner for a while. Maybe even a possible cancel we shall see. So was more than willing to let geoff have a play. Should fix his problem and we will have back to back results of just head work as well.

Yeah tony's work is great. Seen some back to back dyno's with no change but his headwork on a couple different engines and the results are always amazing. I already knew the potential of a valve grind and clean up on the ve, but after showing tony the head and talking shop for a while thought i would go all out on this one.
