reading a little further indicates that my initial estimate was a bit small, so i will be heading closer to the 2L volume, most honda vtec intakes are quite small in plenum size, so may take a leaf out of that book.
a smaller plenum also makes it easier to squeeze into the engine bay

the 20v(VET) was the only VE motor truely designed to be 2.0L

precisely, so what about the specs for that manifold? eg plenum volume, runner length, taper (if any?)... could those specs be helpful in our design?
