Car running Lean!
My sr20ve with 16ve cams - tuned with greddy e-manage blue is giving me a headache.

It's running lean and we cant seem to find the problem.

Take off the emanage and the same problem with the 16ve ecu (know it should run lean with 16ve ecu alone but b4 i hooked up the emanage it was behaving like how it is now)

So far we have:

Checked fuel lines and pump
Checked injectors
Check fuel filter
Coded the ecu

What could be the problem?

Thanks

Peace

Make sure all the wires for the e-manage are wired correctly, and then hook it up to a laptop and adjust the fuel mixture. How else are you supposed to fix it from running lean? Richen it up!

We did that but it took a lot of fuel + when we used the sr16ve ecu without the emanage it was running much leaner than when we ran I had b4 using emanage.

I went through this same exercise 4 years ago with a similar setup but used a SMT6 instead. Because the SMT6 and E manage are both piggybacks, they cant add enough fuel. I ended up fitting 370cc injectors and that solved the problem.
In New Zealand there would be about 20 different guys using the 16VE Ecu and all of them had to fit 370cc injectors

Is it running lean everywhere? Why not just replace the fpr with an afpr?

we added some fuel and the leaning out problem is solved in some way but we have to check the timing as the distributor is was advanced for us to get the 15 deg base timing.
