Listen, oil is the life of your motor, worse a VE! Dont mess with the pick up tube or oil pan.

Get a new pick tube specifically for the ve and I think you should get a new oil pan as well.

If u cut corners, then you will be a few hundred $$$ POORER when you motor gets damaged.

Peace

I agree, and strongly suggest you talk to greg. I would be extremely unfortunate if you lost the motor when it could have been prevented. I would imagine a new pan and pickup tube would cost as much as a videogame, maybe a tad more.

got the pan fixed, well the holes an dents anyways.. i gotta straighten it a little more so it sits nice an flush but that shouldnt be a problem, also going to use a RR oil pan gasket PLUS black rtv, i know people say use grey but this black stuff is tough ****, i've used it a few times an had great success..

also got my new oil pickup tube from greg v @ gspec.. it looks a bit different but should work as good if not better.. its a little longer an has an extra little piece on it

new:

also got a new gasket for it too
