sr20ve rebuild
- 16ve motor
- n1 cams, springs & retainers, cam gear
- 2L de(t) 8 cw crank - knifedged
- eagle forged rods and arp bolts
- arp head and main bolts
- det injectors
- pistons: undecided see below

1. 20V pistons which are a straight swap (no notching required) will give around 11.1:1.

2. 16ve pistons notched and 1mm taken off the top, will give abit over 12:1

3. n1 pistons - not sure what compression will give, do you need to use the n1 oil squirters (n1/gtir squirters are different to other ve squirters)

head shaving: with the n1 head being shave 1mm from factory, would this be ok to do, or would clearances be an issue with the 2L

head gasket: anyone know the stock thickness? so perhaps using a thinner cometic gasket (H1794...) comes in thickness between 0.027" to 0.120".

aiming to get a high 11:1 compression?

opinions and advice greatly appreciated.

get a stock VET head gasket
run the 20v pistons
run stock DE/DET rods
run gtir bearings
BALANCE everything, including your flywheel

use the money you save on the eagle rods and buy as many crank scrapers as you can fit.

You will have to modify your 16ve oilpan to fit the DE crank and girdle if you decide to use it
