I made 176hp and 140tq last year at over 100* that day with a 2" downpipe ssac header and test pipe with stock exhaust with a 2" HKS straight through muffler on stock cams.

The things that I have changed are n1 cams, header, exhaust and tune. All of these things are proven to make power except for the header I made. So it must be the header. My motor was doing very well before I changed these parts. I am going to Full-Race tomorrow to get some materials to make a new header.

The bottom one is uncorrected. So I guess thats the actual power output. Pretty depressing. This is with cams at 0/0 compared to +4in -4ex. 0/0 Made less power everywhere.

who's surprised you made less power @ 0/0???? torque is all over the place don't know if thats just this type of dyno or what.
work your way toward +5/-5 or -6. or save your $$ and dyno time.... more overlap on these bolt-on n/a motors is the way. you don't still have that emptied cat. converter on there do you?

The torque looks that way because it's smooshed into half a page. Yeah I still had that cat in there. I am overhauling my entire exhaust system now starting with the header. The green and blue lines on the bottom are with the knock sensor turned off. It realy did not like it.

the turbulence/back pressure created by that empty can must be crazy bad. chuck it in the trash and get a high flow replacement cat. set the cams @+5/-5 or -6, fix the rest of the header back exhaust sys and, i predict you'll be right where you expect. be sure to use a wideband next time on the dyno. good luck bro!

Low intake port velocity, the VE needs a header that will help increase velocity through the head, which is why bolting on something with huge pipes doesn't work & properly spec'd pipe sizes & full merge collectors work so well. Snickers is the expert there, the new header should work a treat.

Ok guys thanks. We used the dyno wideband on the header not a tailpipe sniffer. I will also be buying my own wideband very soon. I will start by removing the cat and check for extra power with the gtech.
