thing is, the tuner never upped the rev limit, so its making peak power on the DE limiter (6950), the line on the graph for the hp is still rising when it hits the limiter. when i asked the tuner he said that it would be detting if he upped the limiter so would have to back off the timing so i would lose power. i then replied by suggesting that he upped it to 8k, adjusted fuelling and timing and increased switch points (intake is at 4520 and ex is at 4950)

what do you guys think? i still think there is another 5-10whp to be had

i'm assuming the sr16 head has sr16 cams? if so then 6900 is way early to rev limit. they factory limit 8200.

also i think the consensus is that sr16 cams should come on between 5000-5400, from what i've read.

very nice torque number, the hp peak is higher than you went.

yeh SR16 cams. thats what i said to him about it being too low, although there is a positive side to how they have mapped it, the cams switch sooner so not waiting as long for the power band and knowing im revving it to the limiter and its not tailing off, but having the DE trans which has longer ratios than the VE trans

I think that's the highest wtq I've seen here on the forum, nice numbers

I was thinking the same thing for torque. 161 wtq, nice.

the torque is measured at the engine chaps, sorry i should have said, so i guess the wtq will be around 130 ish. the crank hp was measured at 211hp

hmm.....i think you may want to raise your revs then. you're definitely losing ~10whp and 10wtq easily.
