I hate to ressurect this thread from the dead, but I've been very interested in the Sr16ve as of late.
I did some calculations and the maximum piston acceleration is the same for an sr20 at 8700 rpm and a sr16 at 10000 rpm.
Sleeved and stroked to 94 mm could take an sr16ve to sr19ve. With N1/20v cams and a 10000 rpm redline I bet you could see 240 hp (crank) or more if you maintain the hp/l of the sr16ve n1. Put in some lighter aftermarket pistons and bump up the compression, lighter rods.....Itb's, custom exhaust mani...I wonder how high you could get that thing screaming.
