B14 Ve 1/4 Et?
Ok, so I'm dropping an SR20VE into my 4-door B14. Based on some of the info I've seen I'm looking for 14.0-14.2. My question is, what times are you VE guys running with stock VE's? To the low 14 sec VE guys, what mods do you have?

http://www.sr20-forum.com/members-rides/14967-sgt-salvage.html - here's a link to my car.

My mods - SSAC 2.5 header to stock cat to 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust(most likely Flowmaster), AEM 2.5 CAI, Fidanza 8.5lb flywheel, Prothane MMI, B13 LSD tranny, Calum Basic ECU, MSD 8950 and I'm thinking of switching the cams at 5200 RPM.

I made a drunken bet with my buddy, and I'm looking for your input.

Thanks,

Lance

it should be near those 14.0-14.3 with 97-99mph, take some weight of the car for better results. All you'll need are good 60ft

I'm already looking into a good set of drag radials, too. I've seen several guys on here hitting mid 13's or better with N1 cams.

You can go as low as 5100 with cams. That's where I have mine - dyno proven.

The VE prefers a 3" short ram WAI, not 2.5 CAI.

I would say you would hit 14.5-14.7.

If you lighten the car, 14.2-14.3.

Peace

He has stock cams. 5200 is way too high. Your losing a good horsepower curve switching that high. Try 4600-4900 (with 4900) being the highest you would go.

I already bought the 5000-5800 rpm module pack. and i'll likely run a velocity stack when I drag, and I might even go without the front bumper. IDK.

why go without the front bumper its made to be aero correct...better to drop the back bumper for the weight if thats the thinking and it will stop the catchment of air...like the parachute effect

It will shorten your powerband. The stock cams low lobe peaks before 5krpm. Plus, setting it higher than 4800 will not keep the high cam activated between shifts.
