Actually i've been on
SR20 Forum since 2000 and on the se-r.net mailing list since 98. I've also been a VE owner since 02 and been one of the first people on here to tear one down and build it back up. How about you?
First off, innovative? You mean something that's never been done to an engine before, or just a VE?
Also, it doesn't take anything new to make power from a VE. It takes money. Budget builds aren't going to get you there. You need attention to detail and cash.
First off, if your going to quote me, please don't rearrange what I typed to your liking. It make what I typed out of context.
I hate this attitude amongst many fellow sr20 forum members who take everything online as the gospel and this its all been figured out and they never go out and create their own winning combination. You guys wanted this car to make that power so bad just this combination could be copied over and over... Easy 230whp winning combination with all the hard work done by someone else.
Money is only half the battle budget or no budget (and for the record everyone definition of budget build is different). There's a lot of new development left to be done with the VE, but if there's not anyone trying different setups how would we reach any breakthroughs?
If you think we don't know how much more superior current and past 4 cylinder Honda engines are to the equivalent generation Nissan engines, you should read this and check yourself before you look stupid.
I mention my friend Honda build in responding to Ashtonser who said that its hard for a B series to make over 200whp. The only reason I posted the video is to show a comparison with the 200sx and other all motor cars on the same dynojet it put down 210whp on.
