Good question, I just didn't think this was a crazy setup. Noting custom or expensive. Everything is off the shelf, I would think a lot of people have tried setups like this before.

Jun, some constructive cretiq.
Break the sharp edges on the pistons with some emry cloth to elimenate hot spots. Is this the final assembly? Depending on what rings you are using (chrom molly vs molly) the finish on the cyl walls have a little too much sheen on the finish. The rings will take forever to properly break in. A 1,2,3 honing pass on each cyl. bore would take care of that.
What's done to the head? What fuel is going to be used?
Look's good.

Andy thanks for the constructive criticism. This is not the 1st motor I have assembled. The head just has springs & retainers. Were going to tune the car on Pump.

which crank jun? 4cw? or the 8? If I get some more money before I put my head back on I might just take out the SR16's and order the CP's then I'll be all forged lol.

ok those pistons are domed as hell, are you sure these were not 12.5:1 for a de/det head cuz 12.5:1 pistons we used for my buddies 2.2L build were not anywhere near that domed and it pumped out well over 250psi across all cylinders so i know that is up there. Now yours are domed way way more. Ours had deep valve reliefs cut as well. So you can get the picture.

If you got de/det 12.5:1 with the ve head your going to be well over 13:1 probably round 13.3:1 or so. Thats crazy. Either way you can probably get it tuned on pump gas but that thing should put out some crazy compression numbers. Again take a look back at our 2.2L build with pistons 12.5:1 pistons and take a look at the slight dome on the ones we had made that were designed for the ve head.
