You still don't seem to spend much time here. We're not talking about the mailing list or the other forum. Around here, this type of thread is not typical. Find me examples. I dare you.

This practice is entirely common and accepted so we don't have to read through five million pages of quote to get to the point. As long as the general idea is the same, and stuff isn't taken out of context, what's the big deal?

Excuse me? I don't think so pal.

Sure. What's wrong with that?

A lot left to be done? Like what? What the hell could be done that hasn't been done before? I'm not asking you to come up with the next big engine innovation, but chances are if a VE ever makes truly big N/A numbers it's going to be with well known, well tried, well tested methods. Just because they haven't been done on a VE engine doesn't mean they are innovative.

They have got so many different head, cam, block, crank, ITM combos they can choose from it's not even funny. How many ITM can I choose from to build my car? Hmmm, How many cams?? You get my point These cars are very impressive but to make 230 with a VE is a big achievement for us. Atleast to me it is.

Show me a 230whp VE because there isn't one in this thread or on that dyno. I see a 210whp VE.

I agree with everything you said, but i've never said anything bad about the VE in any of my post. Of course availability of parts play a key factor in getting things done, but we need more innovative people going on there and trying to make things happen instead of waiting around for someone else to do it.

Like I said earlier I only brought up my friend Honda build is in reference to ashtonser's comment and the video is to show different all motor cars on the same dyno. I never compared the VE to the B series or any of those K series engines.

it easy for the honda boys to say stuff now....but way back in the game it was no way as cool as with the nissna ppl here how yall got power...... dont know bout the us still but honda boys ALWAYS piggie backed on ppl projects till support came cause they wanted to make the best that they could at the time as do we...... difference is we share our knowledge and dont just chalk it up to tuners secret..... as a said not knowing the u.s. ....... SUPPORT IS THE DIFFERENCE.....

The exception with this 200sx is the 12.5:1 cp pistons and the 4-1 header. No ones telling anyone how to build their car, but it seems that everyone is copying a certain set of people based on whats posted online not from person experience. ie: look and how many people drop in their N1's for the first time and set them @ +5/-5 right away...because someone posted a few years back that this was the best settings.

How do you know what was/is the black 200sx?? What because you read something online and saw a few pics you think you know the car?? Come on! You guys need to stop taking someone else car personal and defending things you don't know about. At the end of the day you can't vouch for the hype these car carry with them.

Again, i'm not attacking Junior, the owner of the car or whomever. Its just i'm tired of seeing everyone waiting around the the messiah to deliver the winning combination for the masses.

^Dude calm down dang. I used BS because that is what he said in the VID as I stated. Don't take what I said out of context. BS meaning nothing new, just a basic budget build and that was NOT A DISS comment. Dude you are so late coming in this thread with this talk. It was derailed a long time ago. You talking out the side of your neck right now.

The reason I said what I said about JUN's black car is because I personally talked to a guy on the phone about that has a TON of rep on this board and the old board and I would take his word for it. I guess if Bill Gates told me something about a certain computer I should think he is full of sh*t as well right? Dude why are you preaching about everybody waiting on some messiah? Lol, wow, everybody? Com on. Everybody is not trying to build a VE to be a 1/4 track slut. I will be using my VE for a daily driver. The build is simple and it made good power. Find where everybody said they wanted this motor to make 230WHP, find it. Nuff said.

I agree, innovation is key, which is why I pointed out that Honda has a very strong on going racing program in one of the toughest most extreme racing venues around. Cart racing is SERious $$, R&D ect. And believe you me, allot of what they learn from F1 translates into their production motors. This is SERious R&D. Let alone the aftermarket support for them. This is a much larger crowd so it's $$$ in it for aftermarket parts. So allot of our waiting around and copying is due to the fact we simply have nothing else to choose from. I know it's probably a dozen or more of us waiting on a ITM from Chuck or Maxworks and I believe 2 dozen + people waiting on Dre and someone to do cams. If I could just go to a vendor I would do it, but guess what I can't. So I feel your criticism is unfair to a great degree. I'm not bustin on you just stating the facts. Roids

Maybe I should be using more smiley faces to show how light this is to me... Ok how about now... But seriously, I mean everything I typed in the most scarcastic way possible. See the first part in my response to ashtonser:
