I just meant the 4k as a general guideline but yeah it should be at full boost BY OR BEFORE 4krpm. every GT28RS setup i've seen has been that soon, DET or VET

Also, when do you have the cams switching?

54c pistons in 1N5 cyl head is about 9.3:1 compression, but you are doing cranking compression on the small lobes so the intake valves are closing sooner.

try changing your cams sooner, like 4k. every VVL turbo setup i've done always had the best spool on the small lobes at or by 4000rpm
