Plans for High CR VE build
This motor will be some weekends track warrior and daily driven in the summer. I done lots of reading/searching. It's time to take some action. Here's a setup I'm thinking about going with.
-Mazworx CP SR20VE Pistons, 86 or 86.5 x 12.5:1 CR.
-Eagle rods
-New OEM head bolts
-New OEM bearings
-8 CW from a DE
-DE Girdle
-Other parts needed would be NEW OEM
Head with be stock w/N1 cams, turbofreak springs and retainers. (Glad I didn't sell these:rolleyes
Got my hands on a LOW(62k) milage lowport DE. The VE(thanks DJ) is running condition w/rod knock. I'm going to find a good machine shop for this build. Plan to get everything balance from crank pulley to flywheel. Just want to get it done right the 1st time and have it be reliable for years to come.
Don't need other input, like headers, exhaust, clutch, ECU etc.. Everything else has been properly chosen/taken care of. Just thoughts for the block, please.
