I honestly think you could do this stuff yourself in your driveway/garage.

Issue was mostly the fact the previous people i had actually install the cams did it wrong, so we didnt know where the cams were set at originally.

that's part of my point. Why not take them off the cam gears put them back in the car on stock cam gears. Reset the JWT gears to what you want then put it back together?

You and a buddy can do that in the driveway

yeah, no issues with doing that

Originally, the cams, gears and valvesprings were done by dodgy shop (live and learn)
Took to my normal tuner, put cam gears back to where they should be when i thought something wasnt right.

Now, i'll have them do the same thing as theres no point me taking the car home, changing timing, then driving back over and over

One thing that makes doing cam timing changes or cam installs SUPER easy is a black marker or white out.

I never claimed motor was in TDC.
Intake cam gear dot is probably hidden by chain shadow.

I was under the impression that soon chain painting marks were visible then they should match the cam gear's dots.
It seemed strange to me by looking my photos so that's why I post them.

Sorry most of us are not mechanically oriented but certainly I'm not the one who posts misinformation FACTS!

Snickers for the win on the White Out.

The black marker I dont get.

The biggest problem with the older 91-94 motors is if someone has not changed the oil on a regulare basis you get a dark film build up on the chain and you cant see the markers because they are just slightly darker than the standard links.

The best chain setup is on the VVL motors because it has Yellow Markers links for the cam sprokets.

The worst chain setup is on the early 91-94 DEs that have dark grey links.

If I remember correctly the lowport motors 95-99 have sliver links for the cam sprokets and a dark link for the crank sproket
