Redline Heavy shockproof
I have been searching this, but want some more input from VE specific guys...what do you run for gear oil?I have always used MT-90 in my cars( none have been turbo)
However when I drained my tranny in the VE car, ithad HD shockproof in it(obviously by the pink pepto color) .
The tranny shifted fine, and honestly I can tell the difference from MT-90.
I am in FL so maybe it just doesnt get cold enough here to be a problem with thickening up.
I was planning on putting HD shockproof back in when I reinstall the tranny.Mainly because thats what was in it already.I have had an occasional grind going into 4th,but not very often. My questions are...
1-Is HD shockproof really neccassary for the power my VE is capable of putting down?
2-Will there be a problem if theres leftover shockproof in the tranny and I put in mt-90 instead?
Oh yeah I already have a couple quarts of mt-90,but need to order the shockproof if I go that route.
Thanks for the input
