Thread: Stuck...any help please

well i tried a bunch of things and nothing. i tried changing these parts:

spark plugs and wires
distributor cap and rotor
ignition coil
o2 sensor
maf sensor (its also grounded already)

none of these things fixed my problem. it also smells rich so i'm guessing that the fuel is there. anybody else have any options and btw thanks for all the suggestions.

p.s. i did check if the fuel pump has pressure and fuel and both are there. i'm lost!!

you need 2 things. Spark and fuel to make smoke. I had the same problem found I wasn't getting spark and have been throwing the code for weak ignition signal. Stick a screw driver into the end of one of the spark plug wires and make sure it's touching the metal inside the wire. Lay it down on the valve cover and have someone crank the car and see if you get an Arc from the screw driver to the valve cover. The FSM has steps to take if you car is throwing a check engine light and It does work to figure out the problem.

What about your grounds? Specifically ign. ground? Or have you ever spliced any of the wires by the ecu? Maybe its loose...i had a problem similar, its like I hit fuel cut...the car drove but accelerated mad slow.

i will be taking this into consideration tomorrow when i try again to fix the car hopefully tomorrow will be the last day and the car starts. thanks guys for the help.
