Stuck...any help please
Hey guys, so heres my problem... i was driving my b13 with a sr20ve and it was running great no problems then i was on the highway deciding to push it a little wasn't taking it past 6k just going about 100mph and then all of a sudden the car seemed like it died. I would press the gas and nothing would happen the car wouldn't respond to it. So i pulled over checked underneath the hood and nothing seemed to be wrong so i started the car it ran fine for a little and then boom it happened again but i wasn't going fast this time so i pulled over and again nothing appeared to be wrong. I got the car home and now it will start but it just slowly dies and and stalls out and now the more i try starting it the faster it just dies out and wont start. I not sure what to do any suggestions on where to look anyone have this problem before? let me know please i really need my car to get around i appreciate it a lot thanks guys.

seems like maybe a fuel pump problem, if the car slowly stubbles and then dies it seems as though the fuel pump will work for a little bit then get worse until it quits completely

hey so heres the update, i took off the maf and started the car and it would just die 2 seconds later and then i plugged the maf back in and it started fine and even stayed on. So i'm guessing i need a new maf?

well since maf's are $100 or more i wouldnt just go buy a new one until i knew for sure what the problem was.. ofcourse the car dies when u disconnect the maf lol, maybe try cleanin the maf carefully maybe try REgrounding the maf in a better location, also check your plugs an crap maybe even the fuel filter.. because stuff can get sucked up into the filter an when you let it sit it will go back down then run fine till it gets picked up again, dont just shot gun money at the problem :P

This is not a good way to tell if your MAF is bad. Try swapping in a known good MAF and see if the problem goes away.
