Competing against other nissans is somewhat silly, honduh is the enemy! My car only runs 14.9 because of the elevation here in AZ but I'm ok with that because I still rape most built honduhs and for comparison 350z's that only run 15.4 on average here in AZ 2695ft elevation at Firebird Raceway. So since 350z's are said to run 14.0-14.2 at sea level then that would mean my car runs 13's at sea level? lol Awesome!

ahhh so it it like Vtec then j/k. But it is more reliable than a DET tho

Thats why I went with a ve I almost did a det but I kept hearing about peoples injectors leaking and them always replacing rings and junk. To much stuff for me to deal with on my DD.

I hear you bro, I have had sooo many problems with my DET, Yeah it is fun as hell when it does work, but VE just sounds more like the best choice for a DD

On my end, it was a reliability vs track time decision. I installed the engine mainly for track use, and I don't want to spend more time wrenching around than actually driving. A turbo car can be reliable too, but it takes more time and work to become reliable than with an N/A VE.

Track + turbo = cooling issues for a lot of people

Thats good enough to anal rape a stock t25det as well as quite a few t28ers.

Ohh yea, another VE or VE-T note. Nate aka "Exxd" as you know him had a boosted VE putting down well over 350hp on stock internals and would rape majority of DET's in this forum. Dont put down the VE guys. Sure stock for stock the turbo will prevail, but there is great power to be made. A VE head on a De block w/ turbo awesome things can be achieved. VVL technology is good, just like VTEC is good. Thats why almost every motor being produced now has a form of it.

1. you're missing the whole point...when we were getting at the VE's, were were talking stock VE Vs. stock DET in the possibly the same car B14 or P10 or whatever, not some 350hp monster of a VE compared to some lil T25, no one's stupid here

2. I already established earlier in this thread that a VE head on a DET block (not DE) would do wonderful things, more hp, less boost to acheive it.

3. the same way u can build 'em, so can we...

4. we're not putting VE down, we're just expressing our love for DET

5. you seem to have all the info, show me something with your VE

i love my vvl. its fantastic, with out all those pesky problems of traction when taking off too hard in a turbo'd sr20.

Very try amigo. There are ways to eliminate the cooling issue, just costs more money. From what i read the biggest helps are better fans, aftermarket radiator and running w/o a thermostat. Fans on at all times.

As for t25 guys wanting to challenge an N/A ve, how about a ve-t? Fall of next year, got pushed back due to current unemployment. Ill put money says its not even close. t28 + 10 psi + sr20ve
