I decided to check compression today just to do so. Sitting at a solid 160 across the board. I assume thats good? Pretty much zero variance from 1 cylinder to the next.

Edit:

Also I feel i should mention that it took the car an extremely long time to run out of fuel when i disconnected the fuel pump fuse prior to pressure testing. A lot longer than usual.

160psi is very low for a ve. Did you do the test with the motor warm and at wot? 160 psi is de territory.

My friend was doing it while i was holding the tester. I assume he did it wrong; i was more or less happy in the consistancy. He didnt take all plugs out and I dont know if he went wot. I have to assume not because the VE is supposed to be around 200 or so i thought.

the figure is no big deal, the consistency is a good sign

Have not checked fuel pressure yet. I know I need to soon as well as probably pick up a gage for it.

Walbro 255lph Pump. Not sure exact part number, it was ordered for B13 and was a direct hookup.

Yes stock FPR. Probably causing some of my richness issues. Also on the "really need to order list." Only reason I havent is because up until recently it has been running decent and shortage of funds.

I was under the impression that higher value was a higher compression motor as demonstrated by DE's testing around 160 and ve's testing higher. So I am kinda worried, but as i said above im almost certain the test was done wrong. Arent all spark plugs supposed to be removed while testing, as well as WOT while cranking.

Right.....so if your motor had 80psi on all for cylinders, you wouldn't be worried?
