Some SR16VE and SR16VE N1 Questions
I got a few questions for the guys who have owned a 175 hp SR16VE or 200 HP SR16VE N1 powered car.

What are the 1/4 miles times and MPH for those cars.

I have seen 15.3 @ 91 MPH SR16VE stock. So I want to know if those numbers seem correct.

I have not seen a 200 hp SR16VE N1 run and the only official figures I can find right now are 14.3 but I just dont belive it.

The previous owner of my VZ-R sr16 powered got mid 15's (I think).

Best I can figure with a SR16ve N1 is low 15's, not 14.3.

Peace

DRAG DAY DE BRIEF CLICKY CLICKY no mph though....

Daniel maelzer vzr n1 is 2.0ltr.

15.18@146.2km/hr - crackerjack. (nzprimeras forums) I think this is 16ve maybe? Its a crazy good result if it is i guess. This car has fujis on it and a few other little bolts ons. Its a nice vz-r i discussed it ages ago with the japanese owner when it was in japan.

mod list:
Car is 1999 VZR 4 Door Sedan has done 86 000km's, got the 1600VE from factory.

- Cusco RS Mechanical LSD
- Solid Engine Mounts
- Front Slotted Rotors
- Race Pads
- Cusco Under Brace
- Fujitsubo manifold/secondaries
- Blitz exhaust
- Blitz Muffler
- Nissan Tower Bar
- 10mm extended lower arm (negative camber arms)
- Crux upside down adjustables
- Cusco Camber top plates
- Lightweight ATS 15x7's with semi track tyres (Dunlops)

Actually i believe this car may have a special ecu that the japanese owner sourced as he works for nissan!

I hope he doesnt mind me posting this.

doesnt surprise me to be honest, the torquier sr20de with light mods is faster.
the relatively narrow power band and weak torque of the sr16ve doesnt work well on the strip

I think 15.3 is about right for a well running vz-r. My gut feeling is a properly setup n1 could achieve high 14. More likely very low 15 though.

And I think 15.3 for a VZ-R is pushing it a bit. Before I went 2 litre, I could not get better than 16.3 with the sr16ve but was told I am a poor driver. Was also informed that my Apexi Rev Speed Meter that i used to clock that I used to clock the 1/4 may not have been accurate.

In any case 15.3 is very ambitious.

...and the vz-r was with 60mm catback exhaust and teins as only upgrades.

Peace
