The argument goes both ways. You can't expect a sentra owner to dedicate and put down so much monetary collateral that probably consists of weeks/months of work not to be uneasy and concerned. Sure, the parts will come, but the execution of business will lose future customers. IPS is pretty much the same way. I had a friend wait over a year for his IPS k20 cams. At one point he went a very long time without having communication and had to go out of his way and jump through leaps and bounds to get ahold of someone to find out the issue. IPS took tons of orders to to fund what they needed to pay for previous endeavors of which they did not have money for (sounds like the government huh). It was the only way to get the ball rolling. If this is the case and business is very strong, then Charles should be able to have someone be handling transactions leaving him solely to building his product. If you want to keep customers happy you should expand your company to support that demand. Great things start small, but companies have to grow to meet the new market.

There are some group buys in which a certain number of people need to be paid before production can even start. These group buys often run over 6 months, some over a year before production starts. If you aren't willing to invest the time in a group buy for a quality product, you have no business participating.

Patience is a virtue, and good things are worth waiting for. Where else are you going to get a header like this for that price? That's right, you're not.

Charles is a stand up guy, he's not going to run off with your money. He's given periodic updates explaining delays. If you need a header to finish your build in two weeks, this group buy is not for you. Buy a f*cking SSAC.

Charles is a very talented guy, and he's come up with a lot of cool stuff for our cars over the years. All this negativity is going to make him really think twice about future opportunities to develop new stuff for this community. STFU.

As for production issues, I'm sure doing a large number of custom pieces as quickly as possible, mistakes can happen. Again, Charles is a stand up guy, and I'm sure he'll stand behind his product and make it right.

Your preaching to the choir brother. Everyone is starting to sound like the Michael Jackson fans who insist he never molested any children.

he is not on the forum looking for business advice. the man knows what he is doing, but custom stuff does take time and r/d is not cheap. so if you dont like the way he conducts himself, then dont bother with him. but you dont need to bash or tell him how to run his affairs on his threads. you cannot deny the fact that he is doing great things for our community and we should do our best to support him instead of complain..

I never bashed one bit. I know he does alot of honda fabrication so that is why i was suggesting. Small businesses fail everyday because they aren't ran efficiently or properly. If you want to make more you have to have the man power to do it. The group buy header is understandable, but if he can't keep up his normal products for other non-cheap complainers, he will have no complainers because it will be another typical small business failure.

p.s. a customer/consumer is the best business advice a company can get....After all, it is what the customers desire what products he has.
