What's the exhaust on the Dyno'd car?
3", 2.5"?
I assume 3" but if that's a stock exhaust or 2.5"... wow!

What numbers do u think these budget headers will see with the new 20v/N1 cams
or would the 4:1 header be better suited with the new grinds.
What will be the best combo?

would be good to see a graph with the following
hotshot
non merge ASP
merge ASP

probably help people decide exactly what option they want to go for.

the merge ones look good, was hoping to see it hold power a bit more towards the high rpm range, but this could be due to the cam gear setting?

How much longer would I have to let you know? (If it's not already too late)

well i'm STILL waiting for the flanges to show up, Thats the hold back right now to slamming these out.

You can upgrade up to the point i start working on yours. I'm doing these in batches as i get em built, but yours is down the list a little.

It is a 3" exhaust with the CAT installed.

This header was designed for a VE w/ N1's and thats it. so the 20v small lobes will only compliment this header on the bottom end of the power band. should be huge gains from 3500-5500rpm. Once you start getting more of a built motor setup or more displacement, the 4-1's will make more power.

The top end power roll off is something else. From what I can tell this car has always peaked HP early so I think its something with the car more than the header peaking early. could be the cam gear settings.

I do have a dyno of the full merge and non merge. I just have to print it out at the dyno. The full merge does make more power everywhere though. the first non merge header graph was posted right after I put up the full merge one. I know one graph is SAE and the other is std but i'll try to find one or the other to compare directly.

I've got the printout with the HS baseline, ASP non-merge and full-merge showing std numbers. I'll post it when I get home tonight. IIRC, peak was +4 over the non-merge.

My impression is that the car pulls f*ckin' hard. I normally shift at 8k but the car pulled through the midrange so fast that I hit 9k before I was expecting it. I did this twice before I got used to it.

The sound has changed too but I can't really describe in what way. It just sounds different. Charles, how did it sound when I was leaving Intec?

I thought it was awesome, It doesnt sound like a "normal" ser or VE motor. Actually sounds like it had some balls. Mike, the other guy there didnt believe that was you until i told him! Maybe while its nice out you'll get a few more miles on it...
