Metal Head Gasket on Ve? 20Ve vs 20de Rings?
Will using a metal head gasket on a sr20ve lower compression considerably? If so by how much. Remembering stock is 10.3:1.

Also how different is the ve vs de rings? Can 20de rings be used on 20ve? What is the part #?

Thanks.

Peace

a metal headgasket has nothing to do with lowering or bumping up the compression.

The thickness of the gasket is what will change compression.

Stock headgasket is 1.2mm

so if it is thicker compression goes down if it is thinner compression goes up.

so since its not that there different really, just depends on which de rings it refers to. so the de [rr motor] rings will work on the 1st gen ve motor..... correct?
