Im going to be running a zex 55wet shot on my VE-T. I got a new kit off craigslist for 225. Couldnt pass that up.

VE and RR de have the same 1.2mm rings correct? SO then the ve should be able to handle it.

Anyone know how the 16ve pistons and rings hold up?

My setup has between12.5 and 13 cr, but I do have management so tuning won't be an issue.

But I'm really looking for a progressive setup, not just 100 shot in one go...

DUDE totally I can get a NOS kit for like 200-300 bucks mint there all over Craigslist........but 50 shot dam guys? isnt that very conservative?

I got it on my VE but I have NEVER sprayed it. I may try out the 55 shot and see how it does.

the ringlands are weak on the VE compared to a de(t) 75shot would be the max i'd go on the stock pistons. if not the go 100+ shot with a sick tune and just have a block ready or a set of pistons and rods for when that day comes

There are people here in Ct that are running 100+ shot weet on a ve.. some with cams some without. A few have had no problems for well over a year of HARD running and plenty of bottles. Tuning is a big factor. The white classic in this vid is one such car.
