aluminum reatiners
i read in the other forum that VE springs are the same as
H22 springs and that they are interchangable.

if this is true then i would like to know what you guys think about the aluminum retainers that are manufactured by supertechperformance.com

oh ok, but from what i gathered from their website these retainers were supposed to be better than titainium and they are not like your average aluminum retainer.
im not trying to prove anyone wrong or anything i am just JW.

I would say that aluminium will pull through sooner rather than later, I wouldn't risk it except for a drag car that will be rebuilt after every few runs.

And you dont think that every company doesnt say their product is better then the next guys? You cant trust what they say on their own sites, you need to trust what people with experience with them says.

No aluminum retainers for me. Titanuim or stock is the only way to go.

Just the SOUND of aluminum retainers would have me running away. I don't think a metal like Aluminum should be trusted with keeping the springs on the valve, being that the springs are never decompressed while the keepers hold the retainer on.

even if the springs are interchangable, think about it. the valves themselves are not the same. so the splitlocks are likely a different size/style... just because the springs fit doesnt mean evyerhting will be interchangable.
