Im still trying different maps in mine hard to tell much difference without a dyno though. Dual emulators are cool. But whens someone gunna make us a realtime board?!

Nistune has a realtime board... its only $440 AUD (~$280 US)

and yes nistune rocks, love the one in my car

^ I know they have realtime boards. Not for VVL ecu's though.

just use a std sr20de ECU, add an MSS for VVL activation and your set.

I think the type 3 board will work with SR16VE and SR20VE ecu's. I searched it on the nistune forum before.

Anybody confirm this? I dont think its the case.

they have the sr16ve address file available, so i would presume it would work in the ECU.
I guess they cant confirm it for sure without an ECU and car to test it in.

O.K iv emailed him to find out for sure.

I dont see how the type 3 board would work as its the old type board for gtir ecus and stuff like that. I think the vvl ecu's are a bit different to those...

Is the sr16ve address file complete? Can you change vvl points with it?

I assume you have nistune and can open the program and look at the address file?

nope, havent bought the software, we use my tuners copy on the dyno, just noticed the sr16ve stuff in the listing of files

Hmm that was quick. Heres matt from nistunes reply.

Sorry we dont have official support for these ECUs. We dont have boards for these but do have an address file of sorts which will work with third party boards but no VVT points etc have been investigated

thats why i like Matt, always fast responses.
Like i said, install sr20de ecu, put in board and MSS and tune away.
