Maybe. They could be redesigning it. It doesnt make the most power for a manifold however. When my friend that was using it in USTCC wrecked his car and had to rebuild part of it, we took the manifold and tested on a few other highly modified B series motors. An employee of mine, his 2.065cc B series motor was making 265whp give or take with simple shelf parts and major head work. he had a Edelbrock B16 intake manifold that I cut open and he spend hours porting it out and smoothing it for best flow and transition from the plenum to the runners. Without any cam gear tuning or header tuning he made the 265whp at 8900rpm. weeks later we had the AIR intake in our hands. he massaged the port entry into the head a little and dyno'd and lost almost 10whp at 9000rpm. The power up to about 8000 was nearly the same. he gained a bit from 4500-5500rpm though.

I do think for a smaller engine, not as highly modified that the AIR intake is much better than just about anything else I have seen for a B series though.

This thread has so much good information I'm surprised it hasn't been stickied yet...

If you guys think it belongs more in turbo, I can move it there.

the b-series we built at southgate auto is a 103 stroker on a 87mm bore... revs to 10.9k at all events

Funny, I started this thread before any of the 2.45 builds even ever came out. Before Mazworx had their 92mm crank out. haha. Funny where it went.

Its weird but I think a bigger stroke can fit in the sr20 block than the 92. But looking at the pin placement on the 92mm stroke custom pistons you would probably have to change rod lengths in order to compensate. Im betting a 96 to 98mm stroke could be made to work without having a deck plate.

Again there are 2.6L K's with 106mm strokes out there reving to 10.5k all the time. You just have to have proper components that will flow to that.

There is a ton of boosted stuff in here, that's how I stumbled across this thread, it would almost belong in the boosted section for that reason

I'll have to look over the thread and find out where NA talk ends.
