You just bumped a thread no one has replied to in 5 years lol

Keep revving that stock det above 7500 an you will have some problems..

Also you probably shouldn't be giving advice being as new as you are, clearly you don't know much about these engines.

my b13 stock sr20det redlines at about 9k i shift at 8.5k with ease.

At least for a little while...

Either
1) Trying to get post count up to post a thread
2) Trying to get post count up to post a for sale thread
3) Both.

Stock as in stock internals, stock cams and stock valve springs? I'd have to say you are quite brave if you consistently go over like 7800~ish RPM. Shifting at 8500RPM is built SR20VE territory and even that's getting up there too.

Edit: @lynchfourtwenty beat me to it

Well with nearly 800lbs taken out of the car it tends to give me some room to play, and i may be knew but I know my rides limits and i rarely push them to far.

Any vids of the car? And I'm sure you know removing weight from the car has nothing to do with how high you can safely rev, only how much quicker the car is distance wise. Would strongly advise against going over 7800RPM with the stock valve train.. could float a valve, throw a rocker or worse.. you are brave..
