Plus Fast and the Furious featured three Civics, the only love SR20's got is from Johnny Tran wanting to drop some SR20's to pull a premium week before race wars...

I agree about the support but, the K series in all aspects is a better motor than the SR20 both DE and VE. It is years ahead in technology.

Read this thread, This guy has dumped a crap load into this k24 build, 12.5:1, rods, port and polished head, tried a few sets of cams, huge Gato performance intake manifold and 84mm TB. And so far hes only gotten to 279whp. So cory's motor isnt doing bad at all in my opinion.

So again a properly done 2.4 vs a 2.4 K is not too far behind. Although everyone is suggesting him to get rid of the kelfords and throw in the Drag Cartel 4 cams and make an instant 300whp.

ashton give it up man.

there are stock internaled k20s in the new 8th gen si's making low 250whp with bolt ons and cams. read stock 2liter.

did you read stock. just spoke to my boy who put down 243 with out kpro in a 8th gen si !

kmod build is a got dayum k24 stock block, no sleeve, stock crank and you type "hes only gotten 279" its all factory shit on pump gas. hes running 12:5:1 pistons. yeah run some drag cartel cams and hes way over 300whp.

meanwhile we need a sleeved block, aft crank, and the rest of the best parts to even come close. enough of the bullshit man be realistic, stop daydreaming.

hes running all off the shelf parts, running a 12.1 in a 3000 pound rsx. put that swap in a bubble and say hello to high tens all day, then drive home and go to work.

you can not compare the two at all.

the k series is in a league of there own.

dont believe me go talk to bisi who just layed down 1029whp on the 9th gen civic.

read that agian 1029whp.

stop trying to make the sr20 something it will never be.

I understand the K motor is in its own league. By far. Im just sayin its not as easy to make 300whp from a 2.4L motor as many of you are saying.

Again yes they are all off the shelf parts. And yes the k24 doesnt even have to be sleeved. Again so what. Im just saying the proper running 2.4 ve's arent doing soo bad even though we have one cam option over a factory cam.

Again K series wins. Is that what your wanting to hear. For the very little support we have the builds here are not too shabby.

Duh off the shelf parts for the K. But they have literally double digit cam options and for every hp range you can think of. lol. Like they were saying to that guy, ditch the Kelfords and go with the tried and true Drag Cartel 4 cams and bam instant 30whp more. Its that easy for them because they have the aftermarket to make it that easy for them. All it is a matter of is throwing the right combo of aftermarket parts together and bam. Insane hp.

The VE will probably never get to that point is the sad part.

What im trying to say is it is easy.

Dayum bro lol.

Go read my post agian whats not easy about stock blocks and cranks, off the shelf parts for a proven whp range of ur choice.

And no our motors cant compare. There motors all motor run down our best turbo motors

Do I like the sr20 obviously, am I huge fan, clearly. Im just stating facts.

Men lie women lie......NUMBERS DONT LIE.

Aside from the fact that they have OEM 2.4 blocks we are not completely that far off when you simply look at power per liter, especially when you take aftermarket support into account ...

Ok now enough k talk. Its the NA SR race motor thread!
