If you are so worried about the noise that you would keep a 2.5" resonator in the system, then you need to get rid of that muffler and get a large can/oval style muffler. Those N1 type mufflers are notoriously loud as hell.

Actually those authentic hks and apexi canister are pretty decent when it comes to how loud it is. My nephew has a real hks and its more quiet then my apexi ws2. And yes both are 3in.

Really? Hmm, that just doesnt sound right.

Its true the high quality n1 style are quiet. His car is full 3in but its sooo quiet

3 inch may be louder but a lower frequency tone, 2.5 setups MAY be quieter but the tone is higher in pitch and more annoying IMO

You guys made me consider and I will be ditching the 2.5 resonator now

I'm also building a custom secondaries for my SSAC header using 2" secondaries and a 3" midpipe.

I am gonna buy a Magnaflow 3" resonator anyway

I already had an Apexi WS2 in my Spec V and even when it looked amazing it was loud as hell, a friend has this HKS muffler in his VE'd ride and sounds good

What about torque, will a 3" exhaust cause any drop in torque ?
