Thread: VAFC2 working with mafs!!!

I'll connect vafc2 to rb25det w / VVT in R32 (ecu from rb20det). interesting to see how this is done for you.

The vafc2 still has the maf/map voltage wires, they are on a 0-5v scale. You can change it to many different types of airflow sensors. A vafc will work on (any?) car as far as I know.

i tried a vafc on a KA ecu and it wouldnt even run at all. I didnt even notice it was a vafc until i was wiring it and saw differences in the wiring and amount of wires compared to the couple other safc's ive installed. My buddy was like install this SAFC for me and i was like sure and started wiring the harness not even looking at the unit yet and then when all said and done wiring and noticing i looked at the unit and saw VAFC

I tried to see if it would work but it wouldnt, There are no changes you can make to compensate different maf signals and other stuff. Its a completely different setup when using map sensors and maf's.

You can also use them as a progressive boost controller.

Dude i just had this problem 2 weeks ago IT DOES NOT WORK, VAFC IS FOR MAP SENSOR CARS. It has same color wires but Vafc uses them for oil pressure, water temp and other stuff we don't use.

tHE DUDE ON TOP THAT SAYS HES USING IT SOME ONE MUST OF JUST WIRED UP THE RPM WIRE THROTTLE AND VVL. WHY SO HE CAN JUST ACTIVATE THE CAMS WITH IT THATS ALL HES USING IT FOR I BET YOU. hE SAID HE HAD A CALUM ECU ALL HE NEEDED WAS SOMETHING TO ACTIVATE THE VVL THATS WHY HE HAS THE VAFC.

Are you guys using the VAFC2? It is different from the vafc.

recently hooked vafc2 to the rb25det. everything works.
valve VVT is connected through the relay.
type of sensor settings vafc2 is 4.
