Hope to have my rwd vet running by January
my set up will include:

engine
sr20ve head with ex side porting and polishing
cp pistons (just det items, not the new ve ones)
bc billet conrods (i like these much better than eagle)
arp main studs
arp head studs (i already bought them, hopefully i dont have a problem, if standard really are better i might sell and run apexi gasket standard stud combo?)
cometic gasket (might end up using a apexi item though)
adj cam gears
20v cas and solenoid
then obviously all the balancing and machining yada yada yada

Turbo
Turbonetics t3/4 ceramic ball bearing turbo 50trim 76mm compressor and 10 blade stage 3 ex wheel .63 rear housing
custom made tubular steam pipe manifold
Synapse 40mm ex gate
jap 600x400 tube and fin cooler
custom made intake plenum

fuel and management
Autronic smc
msd dis 2, i also have a set of bosch gt40t's but might not end up running them as i think they are more suited to dissy point set up)
greedy profec b spec 2
sard 850cc injectors
will most likely run e10 fuel so 10% ethanol, might tune a e85 map too and save it if the injectors are big enough

i think thats all of it, i just hope my box lasts a little bit till i can afford a rb25 unit or ls1 unit

is there anything i am missing?

Why not run the Z32 trans. I'm sure you can find those like grass and should be cheaper than the Rb25 box. Xcessive SR20 to VG Transmission Adapter they sell the adapter kit to bolt it to the SR.

yeah have a mate that does them, i might end up going one of them. I do prefer the ratio's of the rb25 though. Anyway i hope i dont cross that bridge straight away

ok i thought i would edit in my thoughts on the ratios here
sr and rb are the same to my knowledge and the both are
1st 3.312
2nd 1.902
3rd 1.308
4th 1
5th .759

and the vg30
1st 3.214
2nd 1.925
3rd 1.302
4th 1
5th .752

now in saying that some places have listed that the rb specs are the same as i listed for the z32, but a guy i know that has had both says the vg had crap ratio's, so either those places are wrong...or my vg specs are out

the real strong box is the t56....but the ratio's are real crap with that sucker...but i'll NEVER blow it

ls1
1st 2.96
2nd 2.09
3rd 1.43
4th 1
5th .84
6th .57

**edit i just realised i probably should have put this in the turbo section not the ve section as this is more for the n/a ve's. Sorry, if mods want to move it there go for it**

Sure thats not the RB20 and SR20 boxes? The RB25 boxes are suppose to be close to the Z32. Well the parts are because you can swap them into the RB25 box. Your going to have to do alot of banging into the tunnel to fit that T56 in there it's massive!.

yeah i know a little massage is needed, have mates using them and they are tough as nails! just first is so long and going from 3rd to 4th is a decent jump as well

to be honest i will most likely end up using a z32, but as i said i hope i dont cross that bridge straight away, a couple months to save would be nice
