I think the VE combustion chamber is a lot more detonation resistant as well. I haven't cut apart a head to really figure out why that is the case though. But I have run some pretty aggressive timing without issue.

Little update, fitted the wheels up. Very small movement on the hub so I think I should be ok without hubcentric rings. Looks like there is quite a bit of room to upgrade the front brakes if I wanted to even though these are 15's.

Got some goodies from Tomie yesterday

N1 70mm TB.. from Tomei, I thought it would be Tomei at first but turns out it is Nissan part lol. Tomei oil cap like the one Jason used to have and Tomei adapter plates to put the 70mm TB on the SR20VE intake manifold.

I plan on swapping the black vc for the blue one down the road. Which should look a bit better.

Not trying to dog your mod, but for the price of the Tomei kit, a complete N1 intake manifold and TB is probably cheaper. other than that, everything looks great!

I actually got the TB, adapter plates, and the oil cap for cheaper than what Greg sells just the TB for luckily. I got super lucky, probably because the economy is so f*d up right now. Not sure it'll even do me any good without port matching but wanted it on there for now ahah.

I hope they look good when I get them all mounted up. Gotta get winter tires first .
