Couldn't find the gasket for this header anywhere so I made my own out of a Subaru header gasket.

This would have helped me alot during the last swap. I ended up waiting for Summit to send the oem Hotshot one.

How much did the new bumper skin run you? I'd like a 93/4 front bumper.

The SR20VE is sitting right next to the car along with some N1 cams. I'm going to retain the stock springs, as I don't see the need to go past 8k rpms.

Right on that is good to hear there is another VE going in out there

Oh right on that is good to know. I was wondering if that would do as I had a 65F00 filter chilling in my tool box I was going to try but decided not to risk it for now

I honestly am not sure because the car came with that bumper when I bought it.

The gasket actually seems to have worked quite well and is only around $15.00 from HTTP Forwarding, not sure how much gaskets go at other places but I don't think you can really beat OEM gaskets from the manufacturer.

**UPDATE**
Been busy lately but swapped in a lowport throttle cable and swapped in a new tps. Cranked the timing up to 23* and wired up a custom VVL activation switch. I must say this car is pretty peppy. Feels like there is more torque down low compared to running a DET block NA. Switch the cams over at around 5200RPMS and you can definitely tell the car starts to pull harder and you can hear the cams switch over as well which is pretty neat. Hopefully I'll have a Calum Real-Time ecu in the next month or so when they are available and then I can work on getting the N1 cams in after that.

Everyone told me that putting that much timing on the VE would cause it to detonate, but I had the dizzy cranked all the way over on the JWT VE program and I never got any detonation. I played with timing a lot with that motor. 19* base did the best on the JWT program. Try kicking the cams at 6k and you feel it pull you back way harder. It feels really cool.

whats the advantage to using the h22 springs and retainers. Are they cheaper than the bc ve ones and are they any better or worse. Thats interesting

Yea I talked to Calum and he was telling me how the VE liked timing and that I should be ok around 22* I believe is what he said so I cranked it up to 23*. Had another guy post up on another thread of mine saying that he ran his around for 6 months at 22* base timing and never had problems. I don't think the DE is the same as the VE with detonation problems for whatever reason.

I'll take some comparison pictures when I put them in.
We sell BC stuff here at my work and I called BC directly for them to confirm the springs and they are exactly the same. The catalog I have here even has the same part number just to clear that up for anyone else out there.
