Ripped a H22 but my spark plug wires came undone @ Dist.
This occurred a few times.

I would redline the VE and a wire or 2 would pop off at the distributor cap. I thought it was the wires going bad but im on my second set (ebay one). Its a de distributor geez with tons of miles.

Maybe ill slap on some ngk wires.

This use to happen on my GTIR setup as well. You may want to ziptie them onto the distributor. Or if your an Anti zip tie kind of person find a better way. I was running OEM wires...

i've never heard of that. try bending the angles some so they sit tighter. or pinch the ends some.

Appreciate the response!!

Im all for zip ties best thing ever invented!!! 1st set were magnacores (from de with over 200k) started popping, had a ebay set lying around which is popping off. Just got a new Ngk set and probably going to put my degree to work and zip tie them.

This has happend to me on Both of my NX's. For some reason the wire likes to pop off the distributor. I zip tied them with a black Zip tie and you cant even tell. They stay on now. This happend with OEM wires btw. It doesnt matter what kind of wire it is. Itll pop off if it wants to.

This scared the **** out of me one time and had me thinking i blew my motor for a second when it cutoff and wouldnt start back. Pull onto a side road. Popped the hood and didnt see anything. No rod out the side of the block no oil leaking or burning no nothing. Try to star teh car again and nothing. Look at the motor again and damn if the dist wire wasnt just danglilng. Zip ties make the prob go away real quick.

Used to happen to me when I was running '94 wires with a '95+ distributor (one of them was pretty stretched). I'd forgotten all about it now that I've got COP.

May I suggest hair spray?

Hair spray not a good idea. Hair spray will ignite if you get any arching in there and hair spray is not a good conductor once dry. If you are going to use anything use some good electrical contact cleaner just to make sure there is no grease on them.
