You use a straight piece of hose.

The best thing you can do is use pc of the hose that comes with most VE motors. It is best if the hose has a slight turn in it like a lasy S which will help with engine movement. Also the niple on the fire wall is not straigh across so a straight hose it not best.

FTW, I found the Gates 19606 for the s-shaped hose, or NAPA 11606 as in

That one looks like it might work. Is that too deep of an "S" though? Miko, what do you think? I've never seen a stock VE coolant hose in that area, so I wouldn't know what works best. I just know a straight back one isn't the best solution.

daveracer, I have been using a straight hose and it always moves/adjusts/loosens/leaks from there because of the motor movement.

I think thats S is way to deep. You are more looking for a 35* up and then back.

I use the stock ones off of the motors I get for ths short hose. I could always send you a pc if need be from one of the motors I got.

Would you mind, Dre? I'd appreciate knowing what it looked like so I could try to get something similar for myself. Do you know the exact diameter of the hose also? Is it 3/4" or 5/8"? My email is PhorB13@gmail.com if you wouldn't mind sending the pic.

PhorB13 the dia of the hose is the same as the other side or the part # listed for the long side.

This is simple. If you got the long side, which has to be trimmed a bit to fit go back down to the auto parts dealer in your area with pc of the trimmed hose and get a hose with the same size that has a lazy S in it. Then trim to fit.

Nice. I like that idea best of all. Maybe before I even trim it, I'll search the hoses for a lazy and make sure the diameters match. I only have the VE'd car, so I'd prefer to knock it all out at once. Thanks alot man.
