N60 maf and problems with idle.
I just bought a n60 maf and installed it last weekend. Since the install it has always run rough at idle 800-950rpm, and after anytime I start it, hot or cold. It runs like a v8. so I have to rev it up a little and it will stay around 1300 rpm for a few seconds then drops back down to rough idle again. Sometimes it wants to stall out and dips down to 400 or 500 rpms. This only started happening right after I installed this maf. I also installed calum's n60 maf chips at the same time. Also it jerks a bit sometimes while driving at very low rpm 1200-2000rpms. I triple checked the wiring to make sure it was correct and even switched b and E wires around but it was wired up correctly the first time.

Other than these things the car drives better and smoother than it did when I had the DE maf. but this crap is starting to realy annoy me. Please help.

I have the same situation with low throttle jerking in 1st gear most noticeably. I also have idle hunt, however my idle is adjusted correctly so it never gets close to stalling. Calum had mentioned to me it could have to do with the maf voltage dropping below a certain point and causing the ecu to trigger maf enrichment. Still need to check it, I hate not having a laptop

Yes mine is doing the same thing! I wonder what causes the maf voltage to drop? Do you mean the 0-5v voltage or the 12v voltage? And do you know what the 0-5v voltage should be at when idling?

I've tried messing around with my idle speed but it has'nt made a diff. It's still rough and hunts about 50-100rpm or so, sometimes it will try and drop down to 500rpm. Unless I set the idle high like 1000rpm or more.

Does anyone know who to fix this? Today I was driving and came to a red light and the idle dropped down to 500rpm barely running, the light turned green and when I left It was like I had no timing totaly guttless I shifted into second gear and it jerked quit a bit and then was guttless for a second and then drove narmal again. I went home and checked the timing and it was exactly where I left it at 15*. If I cant fix this soon I will put the de maf back in but I would rather get this n60 maf working correctly.
